Senior Financial Analyst

WSP is a leading engineering and professional services firm in the U.S. seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for their Funding and Financing Strategy Service group. The role involves developing financial strategies, managing financial models, and providing strategic support for infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Developing strategies to offer financial planning services across all end markets
Manage and oversee the development of financial models
Overseeing and performing quantitative analyses and data analytics
Analyzing financial needs and opportunities for public agencies
Analyzing project and program funding and financing options
Researching funding and financing industry trends
Evaluating funding and financing alternatives and priorities
Developing the business case for infrastructure investments
Overseeing the development of reports, memorandums, and client ready documentation
Lead client meetings and workshops
Tracking, reviewing, and interpreting federal legislation and guidance
Providing strategic support in all phases of infrastructure planning and project development

Required

10+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Proven experience managing projects
Strong understanding of inflation and cost drivers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated research skills and experience
Ability to think creatively, work independently, and deliver high quality work with minimal oversight
Ability to lead teams, synthesize problems, and communicate point of view and analytical results
Manage time efficiently while supporting multiple projects in parallel
Proven experience in transportation, infrastructure, and related sectors
Significant experience using Microsoft Office's suite of applications and their higher level capabilities

Preferred

Master's Degree in Finance, Planning, Public Policy or related disciplines
Familiarity with financial aspects and challenges of energy, water, and property and buildings, mining, and other infrastructure
Strong understanding of federal and state-level infrastructure policy and funding
Strategic planning experience
