Affordable Housing Program Analyst (Housing Community Developer II)
NEOGOV is seeking a Housing Program Analyst to join the Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development. The role involves tracking residential development, maintaining affordable unit reporting, and supporting affordable housing development through document review and data analysis.

Responsibilities
Tracking county-wide residential development
Maintaining affordable unit reporting
Supporting affordable housing development through document review
Preparation of graphic visualizations
Researching best practices
Assisting the Inclusionary Housing Team in managing schedules and meeting deadlines
Tracking affordable housing in the pipeline and updating such data as units are constructed
Monitoring and analyzing data, identifying trends and opportunities, and maintaining reports
Completing reports on data and presenting clear outlines of findings and recommendations
Using tools such as Power Bi and GIS applications and mapping to support reports
Maintaining and expanding the affordable housing dashboard
Coordinating with other county departments, developers, and property managers to assist with application review and data compilation
Preparing reports and responding to requests for information on county housing development
Assisting with development review of comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning applications, site plans, subdivision plans, and zoning ordinance amendments
Participating in community engagement activities, stakeholder meetings, and other public meetings as needed
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a related field of study such as planning, engineering, architecture, economics, construction science, business or public administration, finance, real estate, social work, public policy or other related field, plus two years of experience related to assigned program area
The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check
Preferred
Bachelor's in real estate development; architecture; urban, regional or city planning; public administration; or information systems
Proficient in database management, mapping, and analytics tools and their application related to affordable housing
Experience tracking and maintaining project data
Knowledge of government programs and development review processes related to affordable housing
Experience creating graphics, reports, and presentations for a variety of audiences including community groups, professional organizations, senior leadership, and elected and appointed officials
Strong written and oral communication skills with proven track record of effectively communicating verbally, graphically, and in writing
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
Exceptional customer services skills
