Responsibilities

Engineers in this position are responsible for the development and analysis of guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms and implementation of these items in 6DOF simulations, Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) facilities, and operational flight software
Additionally, the candidate should be capable of conducting trade studies for design decisions, developing techniques to assess, validate and verify performance, and supporting flight tests with pre-flight predictions and post-flight analyses

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics plus 2 or more years of work or graduate level research experience with feedback control system design, trajectory optimization, guidance, navigation, and/or optimal estimation with knowledge of basic aerodynamic principles
Strong math skills are required in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, and trigonometry and coordinate transformation
Must be experienced in MATLAB, Simulink, and C/C++ programming
Candidate must possess solid technical communication skills and an ability to work in both collaborative team environments and independently
Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate in order to work on-site at the Huntsville, AL office

Preferred

Familiarity/experience with DoD digital engineering paradigm
Experience in terrestrial navigation, SAASM, M-Code, and GPS-denied operations are also desired
MS degree or higher is strongly desired
