Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the deli team, providing coaching, training, and development to ensure excellent performance in food preparation, customer service, and safety standards
Oversee daily deli operations including inventory control, food production, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas
Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, order processing, and sales reconciliation
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to maintain high-quality standards
Coordinate shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and optimize staffing levels for peak times to maximize efficiency
Conduct staff interviews, onboarding, ongoing training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment
Collaborate with suppliers to manage inventory levels effectively, reduce waste, and control costs while ensuring product availability
Implement operational policies that support hospitality excellence, including customer service standards and quick service delivery in a casual or fine dining setting

Required

Proven management experience in a food service environment such as quick service restaurants, casual dining, or catering operations
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience required
Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising teams, staff training & development, and shift management experience
Knowledge of inventory control methods and food management procedures within the food industry
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication skills for effective team coordination and staff interviewing processes

Preferred

Experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles preferred; culinary experience is a plus
