Required

Must have a BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, or other related science

Minimum of completed pre-licensure training in California State Department Public Health accredited training program

Minimum of three years of general laboratory experience in a hospital or acute care setting or three (3) continuous years with Marin General Hospital

Lic Clinical Lab Scientist Required at hire

Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire

Ability to work in teams in which all members are mutually accountable

Ability to work collaboratively with team members, hospital staff, patients, and physicians

Willingness and ability to be trained in more than one laboratory discipline

Capable of organizing multiple tasks, using time management skills and attention to detail

Basic computer knowledge with the ability to do data entry and retrieval

Knowledge of blood/body fluid precautions

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

Ability to read, speak, write, understand and follow English verbal and written instructions

Demonstrated technical proficiency

Ability to delegate and direct others in the performance of laboratory procedures

Must demonstrate the desire to further their knowledge in laboratory science and the willingness to accept additional responsibilities such as but not limited to staff development (e.g. training, in-service, internships, new technology evaluation, assist in test validation, teaching, resource person, etc.)
