The role involves managing geotechnical subsurface investigations, preparing technical reports, and overseeing construction materials testing services while providing design input for various engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Manage and execute geotechnical subsurface investigations

Coordinate and monitor field drilling and sampling operations

Prepare boring logs and develop laboratory testing programs

Analyze lab data and perform geotechnical design calculations

Prepare technical reports and foundation recommendations

Provide design input for Building foundations, Cut and fill slopes, Retaining walls, Landslide remediation, Roadway rehabilitation

Oversee construction materials testing services, including Earthwork, Concrete, Foundations, Masonry, Pavement testing

Supervise and mentor technical staff and field personnel

Communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies

Qualification

Geotechnical experienceCivil Engineering degreeEngineer-In-Training (E.I.T.)Professional Engineering (P.E.) licenseTechnical writingCommunication skills

Required

5+ years of geotechnical experience, preferably in a consulting environment

B.S. in Civil Engineering or related (M.S. a plus)

Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) required

Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in WV preferred

Strong technical writing and communication skills

Preferred
