Responsibilities
Lead the architecture and development of new Live product features for the Netflix Android app
Write high-quality, testable, and performant code
Drive UI engineering best practices and initiatives to enhance quality, performance, and developer productivity
Collaborate with cross-functional partners in product and design to define and deliver on the product vision
Demonstrate strong project management and estimation skills to deliver high-impact work on schedule
Communicate proactively and effectively with teammates and stakeholders
Mentor and grow less-experienced Android engineers on the team
Influence the technical roadmap and direction of the team
Qualification
Required
6+ years of professional experience with Android development
Deep knowledge of Android UI frameworks and best practices
Expertise in Kotlin and Java
Strong track record of leading projects and delivering results
Excellent project management, estimation, communication, and collaboration skills
Strong architecture and system design skills
Passion for mentoring and growing less-experienced engineers
Alignment with Netflix's culture and values
Preferred
Experience with Jetpack Compose, Circuit, Dagger/Hilt, or GraphQL
Knowledge of or experience with Live streaming or Ad technologies
