Senior Industrial Engineer - Warehouse Operations

Act Fulfillment Inc. is looking for a motivated Senior Industrial Engineer to enhance operational efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives across their supply chain. The role involves analyzing, designing, and implementing process improvements while collaborating with leadership and operations to drive data-based solutions that improve service levels and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Provides support in tracking key performance indicators & initiate process improvements throughout the operation
Analyze operational data and use data mining techniques to report against or determine company standards
Interfaces with customers on quotes and effective and engaging communication
Develops and revises Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for each functional operation while ensuring SOP’s are updated and adhered to on a consistent basis
Generates ideas and initiates action to seek information to solve problems or follow through with a task
Strategic initiatives to prevent or remove waste and inefficiency in production processes
Design efficient systems that integrate workers, information, machines, energy and materials to maximize effectiveness, efficiency and production; and ensures all process meet quality standards
Work with the Finance team to create proper rate card pricing for new and/or validate existing customer price structures by utilizing gathered data from time studies, process changes etc
Provides engineering support for process development and improvement initiatives to reinforce the goal of Operational Excellence
Generates and assesses metrics for dissemination of trends that affect service quality and customer reviews using statistics and quality engineering tools
Provides change management guidance, assists with process and equipment validation including but not limited to development, training, documentation, and reporting
Leads the implementation of material handling systems that enable capacity and productivity improvements
CAD or other use of drafting tools and computer-assisted design software to create the layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency Assists a team with the design development, implementation, and maintenance of labor management systems
Creates reports on return on Investment (ROI) and Operations audits
Create reports or presentations on current operations statistics and advise on any change in process flow to upper management
Work in a support role as needed on projects and complete deliverables to meet project deadlines
Must be willing to travel 25% locally, out of state as needed

Required

Knowledge of data mining technique
Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Strong technical writing ability
Experience with process flow design and implementation
High-level talent in computer technology and systems operations
Advanced knowledge of production machinery and job-related service delivery equipment and processes
Strong excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization
Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with positive attitude
Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems and experience in Third Party Logistics
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Proficient computer skills
Computer Aided Design (CAD)
Generally, requires minimum of two (2) to five (5) years' experience in a warehouse management system and warehouse operations environment
Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy
Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner

Preferred

Lean Six Sigma certified
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or Supply Chain Management or related field
