Responsibilities

Semi-Custom Program Contract Management (Early Engagement)
Act as the point person for early-phase semi-custom engagements with customers and OEM partners and manage RFI, RFQ, Award and contract management
Partner with Legal, Business Development, and Engineering to support contract structures (NDAs, SoW, Development Agreements, Purchase Agreements, Specifications, Timelines)
Ensure internal teams understand customer-specific requirements, customizing program deliverables accordingly
Develop clear program artifacts for semi-custom proposals including NRE estimates, and engineering feasibility outcomes
Early-Phase Program Leadership (Concept → Feasibility → Plan)
Lead Adaptive SoC and Embedded roadmap programs from initial concept through Plan exit
Drive cross-functional deliverables across architecture, silicon engineering, operations, software, marketing, and finance
Ensure program requirements (MRDs, PRDs, feature definitions, power/performance targets) are clear, validated, and documented
Facilitate engineering scoping, resource planning, and SoC/FW/SW feasibility studies
Run gate reviews and secure alignment with senior leadership on scope, risks, and commitments
Technical & Cross-Functional Leadership
Translate high-level product strategy into technical and program requirements
Challenge engineering assumptions, ask the right technical questions, and ensure feasibility validation
Serve as a technical partner to architecture teams—understanding Adaptive SoC, FPGA, NoC, memory, and IP integration implications
Proactively identify integration risks, schedule bottlenecks, and technical dependencies
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management
Prepare and deliver program-level updates to Product Planning, Engineering, and Executive leadership
Provide transparent risk/mitigation views and ensure decisions are documented and tracked
Drive accountability across functional teams to hit gate criteria on time

Required

Strong technical and execution-oriented program manager experience
Deep semiconductor experience
Exceptional program leadership skills
Ability to drive early-phase program execution for Semi-custom Programs and next-generation Adaptive SoCs, FPGAs, and Embedded solutions
Experience managing customer requirements, technical and business contract inputs
Ability to ensure clarity between OEM/customer needs and AMD engineering teams
Experience leading Adaptive SoC and Embedded roadmap programs from initial concept through Plan exit
Ability to drive cross-functional deliverables across architecture, silicon engineering, operations, software, marketing, and finance
Experience ensuring program requirements (MRDs, PRDs, feature definitions, power/performance targets) are clear, validated, and documented
Experience facilitating engineering scoping, resource planning, and SoC/FW/SW feasibility studies
Experience running gate reviews and securing alignment with senior leadership on scope, risks, and commitments
Ability to translate high-level product strategy into technical and program requirements

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

Preferred

Demonstrated experience in the semiconductor industry (SoC, FPGA, ASIC, embedded system design, or architecture) in program and product management roles
Strong familiarity with semi-custom engagements, customer requirements translation, or technical contract support
Exposure to embedded markets (industrial, automotive, aerospace & defense, communications)
Experience leading programs or technical teams in early-phase product lifecycle: concept, feasibility, architecture, and planning phases
Solid understanding of silicon development flows, IP integration, verification, firmware/software dependencies, and system-level architecture
Proven track record managing cross-functional engineering and business teams in a highly matrixed environment
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills with a proven ability to influence across organizations including engineering and business stakeholders
