Sr. Project Manager - Ports & Maritime

They are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex maritime infrastructure and coastal resilience projects, ensuring quality and safety while managing project financials and client relationships.
Responsibilities
Plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality of work product, consistency across projects, and staff safety
Coordinate with subcontractors and internal support staff and subject matter experts
Manage the project financials, delivery, and client relationship
Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, and scientists to deliver complex projects
Assist in local marketing and business development
Track future project opportunities
Lead the preparation of proposals
Participate in interviews and presentations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or related Engineering
At least 12 years of experience in the management of waterfront infrastructure projects
Experience in the design and design management of waterfront projects and facilities
Ability to work with a team of local and remote multi-disciplinary engineers, design managers, and subject matter experts to deliver projects and proposals
Ability to manage the successful delivery contract documents, design basis, technical specifications, and other client deliverables
Substantial experience in the preparation of technical and cost proposals to deliver winning proposals
Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders, both internal and external
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) License in Virginia (or ability to apply for reciprocity) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience with cost estimating and services during construction
Existing client relationships with port authorities and/or other organizations involved in the development of waterfront or coastal resilience projects
