Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of QC laboratory technicians across multiple shifts
Ensure all testing procedures comply with GLP standards, internal SOPs, and regulatory requirements (e.g., USP, EP, ICH)
Oversee analytical testing of excipients using HPLC, GC, IC, and other relevant techniques
Review and approve laboratory data, test results, and batch release documentation
Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and ensure calibration and preventive maintenance schedules are followed
Collaborate with QA, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs to support product release and investigations
Lead training and development initiatives for lab personnel, ensuring technical proficiency and compliance awareness
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready laboratory environment
Manage scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions in accordance with Union contract provisions
Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs) as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or similar Science/Engineering
Minimum 5 years of quality experience and/or training in the food and beverage industry
