Responsibilities
Invest in understanding how Netflix engineering will evolve in the future and develop an iterative roadmap with product leaders to meet those needs
Smartly invest in the delivery platform architecture to enable rapid delivery while balancing technical debt payoff
Cultivate relationships with our engineering partners to understand their needs and ensure alignment with the product roadmap
Hold a high bar in hiring and retention
Inspire the team toward timely execution and delivery
Ensure high and consistent velocity of output even in the face of ambiguity
Deeply understand the software delivery domain and how engineers ship code at Netflix
Promote a productivity-centric engineering culture that cares about making fellow engineers more effective
Qualification
Required
Strong product sense
Technical understanding of front end and backend systems
Deep empathy and connection for other engineering teams and their business goals
Track record of building and leading exceptional software engineering teams
Ability to balance competing priorities across multiple cross-functional partners and programs
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Desire and ability to foster an inclusive environment
Preferred
Experience in leading engineering productivity teams, with Delivery domain experience strongly preferred
