Responsibilities

Developing and implementing system updates that best meet changing customer needs for new and existing features

Collaborating with team members

Working in a cross-functional agile scrum team

Performing most typical Agile Product Owner (PO) responsibilities for the GWS GFC Threat State Algorithms and Analysis team

Making sure that developed features and related sprint stories contain the appropriate closure criteria and that they meet those criteria prior to be closed

Leading and performing technical tasks to support the development and evaluation of Algorithmic candidates addressing new capabilities in the tactical product

Helping ensure algorithmic design has been properly evaluated prior to implementation in the tactical product

Required

US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance (with the ability to acquire and maintain a TS level clearance)

12 Years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline; 10 Years with Master's degree; 8 Years with PhD

Recent experience in one or more of the following areas: data analysis, performance analysis, or physics/mathematics-based algorithm development

General understanding of any, or all, of the following algorithm domains: track processing, track reporting, discrimination, propagation, and 6d covariance propagation/prediction

High proficiency in technical problem solving and integrating solutions into a larger system

Knowledge of MATLAB, Python or similar engineering tools used in prototyping algorithms

Experience reading and understanding the Ada programming language

Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel

Excellent interpersonal skills

Extensive background in Ballistic Missile Defense, midcourse missile defense, battle management, threat state processing, weapon target assignment

Preferred

Current/Active Top Secret Clearance

Recent experience applying advanced mathematical concepts (Numerical Analysis, Linear Algebra, Probability/Statistics) to complex problems and solutions

Recent and extensive experience developing analysis tools in MATLAB and PYTHON

High comfort level with the ADA programming language

Successful performance of root cause analysis of large complex software systems

High Comfort level using the Atlassian toolset (Jira/Confluence)
