Senior Product Manager, Ads & Partnerships
Fortune Media is a global media organization dedicated to helping its readers succeed in business through unrivaled access and best-in-class storytelling. They are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Product Manager, Ads & Partnerships to drive revenue growth through product innovation and optimize advertising operations for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
Own the monetization product roadmap: Define and execute the product strategy for advertising optimization, programmatic partnerships, and revenue-driving initiatives across Fortune's digital properties
Drive enterprise customer success: Partner closely with Sales, Business Development, and Ad Operations teams to solve pain points for our direct and programmatic advertising partners, ensuring campaign success and client satisfaction
Lead cross-functional initiatives: Collaborate with Engineering, Editorial, and Revenue teams to launch high-impact features and improvements that balance user experience with revenue growth
Optimize advertising performance: Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities for ad inventory optimization, improve fill rates, and maximize yield across programmatic and direct sales channels
Be the voice of the customer: Build deep relationships with enterprise advertising partners to understand their needs, translate requirements into product specifications, and ensure successful delivery
Define technical requirements: Work closely with Engineering to create detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for monetization features and integrations
Champion experimentation: Design and execute A/B tests to measure the impact of monetization initiatives on both revenue and user experience
Drive data-driven decision making: Use analytics platforms and business intelligence tools to track KPIs, measure ROI, and inform strategic decisions about the product roadmap
Communicate impact: Present insights, recommendations, and results to senior leadership, demonstrating the business value of monetization initiatives
Navigate complexity: Balance competing priorities from multiple stakeholders including Sales, Editorial, Product, and Engineering while maintaining focus on measurable outcomes

Deep understanding of digital advertising ecosystems including programmatic advertising, ad servers, SSPs, DSPs, and header bidding
The ability to learn new software and tools quickly —you don't need to know everything on day one, but you need to be able to pick things up fast
Experience writing detailed product requirements and working closely with engineering teams to ship high-quality products
Ability to translate complexity —you can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and translate business requirements into technical specifications
5+ years of product management experience with at least 2 years in monetization, advertising, or B2B products
Preferred
AI-forward approach to product development —you leverage AI tools to accelerate your work (writing specs, analyzing data, generating insights) and apply your product expertise to refine outputs. We're not AI-in-the-loop; we're using AI to get smarter and move faster. If you're not there yet, you need to be excited about developing this skill
Experience working in media, publishing, or content-driven businesses
Experience with CMS platforms and content management workflows
Proficiency with specific analytics tools (Google Analytics, Looker) and project management software (Jira, Asana, Confluence)
Understanding of Core Web Vitals, SEO, and how page performance impacts advertising
Experience working closely with direct sales teams to build scalable solutions
Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and optimization frameworks
