Systems Engineer
Cordance is dedicated to accelerating the growth of vertically focused business-to-business (B2B) software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies through acquisition and long-term tactical and financial guidance. They are seeking a Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and reliable.

Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments
Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers
Manage Windows SQL Server databases and ensure their high availability and performance
Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC)
Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual intervention
Ensure robust network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security appliances
Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize system performance and reliability
Collaborate with development, security, and support teams to ensure seamless integration and operations
Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and infrastructure issues
Maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Proven experience in managing AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure
Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux server environments
Experience with Database applications (Postgres, NySQL, and MS SQL Server administration)
In-depth knowledge of network administration, including experience with firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and network security practices
Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or other languages
Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or equivalent
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation
