Digital Payload Responsible Systems Engineer

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Digital Payload Responsible Systems Engineer to join their team on the SDA program portfolio in Littleton, CO. In this role, you will support the lead Responsible Systems Engineer on crypto, timing, and digital communication units on the payload subsystem, using innovative ideas to accelerate delivery of an integrated payload product.

Responsibilities

Supplier oversight, including Failure Review Board (FRB) support and guidance, acceptance of hardware, up to certification of hardware
Support the integrated subsystem through Assembly Test & Launch (ATLO) campaigns
Support Space Vehicle (SV) integrated test activities, including first time operations and environmental testing

Required

Experience with digital communication hardware
Experience with RF Communication Systems
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD SECRET Security Clearance

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree or higher (Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field preferred) or equivalent experience/combined education
Experience in Networking routing/traffic management and troubleshooting
Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) and/or Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) certification (or equivalent)
Systems engineering experience including generation and derivation of requirements
Experience with Systems Integration and Verification
Hardware and/or software troubleshooting experience
Previous Space Vehicle and/or Payload Assembly Test & Launch (ATLO) experience
Ability to work support off-shifts and weekends as needed
Experience supporting or leading Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with management, and peers
Experience/Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Active secret clearance
