The Application Engineer will support the sales team by preparing product quotations, interpreting specifications, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and collaboration with various departments.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and complete product quotations & proposals

Read product specifications. Check to ensure that proposals are accurate, complete, and definitive

Ensure that the proposals are provided to the proper parties on a timely and accurate basis to satisfy bid deadlines

Meet the intent of the customer's specifications by applying the Company's products to their best advantage, while at the same time protecting the Company's interest

Provide support needed to resolve customer complaints and issues including all paperwork and follow up until process is complete

Support and act as liaison between outside sales representatives/customers and various manufacturing locations. Work closely with Planners and Manufacturing Department Heads to provide current information on expedite requests and lead times

Engage in opportunistic and add-on sales activities, including developing custom designs of the aforementioned equipment to coincide with regional market needs

Carry out additional job responsibilities and duties as required

Required

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in engineering, technology, business, or sales-related discipline

Must have a strong technical background, including reading drawings, equipment specifications, and bill of materials

Proven ability to initiate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities

Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe

Must have good technical aptitude & be able to read and interpret drawings

Must have good time management

Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and accuracy is a must have; ability to analyze information, good problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Skills include strong organization skills, time management, can quickly learn and apply knowledge, customer focused, timely decision making, self-motivated, team player and ability to multitask
