Division Controller

Responsibilities

Lead the month end process to ensure timely close and accurate financial data. Prepare monthly reports for Auburn Hills
Complete month-end reporting package for Electronics - Flash and OPS report
Complete quarterly reporting package – QRM, Rolls, Wins and losses, Other assets, Fixed Asset Continuity reports, Judgmental accrual roll forwards and Lease Commitment schedules
Work with divisions to complete business plan and quarterly forecast. Prepare business plan and quarterly OneStream reports and presentation for executive management to assist in Electronics and Corporate review. Prepare Auburn Hills business plan and forecast
Assist divisions with all OneStream reporting, loads, SmartView, journal entries and mapping
Coordinate and monitor internal, compliance and SOX audits for all divisions. Support divisions to develop new processes for audit findings. Provide monthly updates to executive management
Review yearly risk management, year-end audit package, tax packages, R&D tax credits, and property taxes prepared by finance team
Monthly Capital reporting
Provide support to divisions for all new GAAP disclosures and Tax modifications
Lead, manage and mentor finance team with effective goals and communications
Support auditing of CMF files as needed
Ad-hoc reports as necessary
Assist with the completion of other monthly closing activities as required
Practice and maintain integrity while following Magna’s Charter and Constitution
Create a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional / technical knowledge
Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers
Promote and seek excellence in all aspects of business
Comply with the designated ISO / TS 16949 responsibilities, Health & Safety rules and practices, Magna Electronics policies, procedures, and practices
Treat everyone with dignity, trust, and respect
Other duties as assigned by management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Proficient with spreadsheet and accounting software packages
10 years of professional experience with plant, public or corporate accounting function within the automotive industry

Preferred

CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation preferred, but not required
