Responsibilities
Work within cores organization to review compute and storage requests to ensure responsible use of resources
Planning and forecasting of compute and storage for future programs
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze current behavior, identify potential areas for improvement and design of experiments
Strong communications skills. Able to summarize complex problems for directors as well as drill down to details with engineers
Provide ongoing technical guidance and direction for scalable infrastructure demands
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, drive root-cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions
Stay up to date with new DevOps tools, infrastructure improvements, and performance optimization techniques
Qualification
Required
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze current behavior, identify potential areas for improvement and design of experiments
Strong communications skills. Able to summarize complex problems for directors as well as drill down to details with engineers
Provide ongoing technical guidance and direction for scalable infrastructure demands

Stay up to date with new DevOps tools, infrastructure improvements, and performance optimization techniques
Preferred
Understanding of IT Infrastructure such as servers, networking, storage, operating systems, etc
Solid understanding of IBM LSF
Hands-on experience in a large-scale software development environment
Expertise collaborating across organizational boundaries and multiple geographies
Familiarity with metrics collection and visualization using Grafana or PowerBI
Object Oriented Programming with C/C++ and scripting with Python, Perl, and/or Ruby
MySQL and database design experience
DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines experience with tools like Jenkins and Github Actions
Familiar with distributed source control systems like Git
Experience with using AI/Machine Learning tools is a plus
