We are seeking an experienced Design and Production Engineer to oversee all aspects of product design, launch, and continuous improvement processes, as well as manage the Quality Management System.

Responsibilities
Lead the design of new pneumatic and hydraulic cylinder products, valves and fittings
Modeling of parts in Fusion 360 for CAD/CAM
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications and performance requirements
Develop and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, and test plans
Conduct design reviews and prototype evaluations to ensure manufacturability and performance
Provide hands-on support to machining and assembly departments
Troubleshoot production issues and implement design or process improvements
Drive cost reduction and efficiency initiatives through design optimization
Implement and manage the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
Develop inspection criteria, control plans, and quality documentation
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues
Ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in product design and production engineering
3+ years of experience designing fluid power components (pneumatic and/ or hydraulic cylinders strongly preferred)
Proficiency in Fusion 360 for CAD/CAM design a plus
Strong understanding of machining, and assembly process for hydraulic and pneumatic components
Experience with quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies
Knowledge of materials and tolerancing for pneumatic and hydraulic applications
Preferred
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100 or similar quality standards a plus
Experience with ERP systems (EPICOR Kinetic) and engineering change control a plus
Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems a plus
