Responsibilities
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
Responsible for maintaining component technical manuals and drawings associated with various sensors
Managing, monitoring, and overcoming obsolescence of various sensors
Regularly communicates with NAVSEA, Navy, Department Leads, Supply Chain, NNL, Engineers/Designers across Departments, Waterfront, and associated vendors via email, phone, and in person meetings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience
Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
Preferred
Electrical or Electronics Engineering Degree from ABET accredited college
