Responsibilities
Researches, plans, designs and reviews deliverables associated with steam turbine generator development
Area of responsibility could include, but not limited to instrumentation and control, bearings, throttle valves, steam turbines, electrical generators, AC-to-DC rectification, and the integration of all components into a fully functional system
Candidate will lead review efforts to ensure that technical deliverables meet programmatic goals and baseline requirements
Candidate will also mentor junior engineering staff to develop a knowledgeable team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience
Master's Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 4 years of experience
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
US Citizenship Required for this Position
