Auxiliary Grants Professional Intern

The University of Georgia is the state’s flagship university and is seeking an Auxiliary Grants Professional Intern. This intern will support the identification, evaluation, and development of grant opportunities for UGA Auxiliary Services, including conducting research, drafting proposals, and maintaining organized grant files.

Responsibilities

Identify federal, state, and private grant opportunities; prepare briefings summarizing eligibility, deadlines, and alignment with Auxiliary Services needs
Draft, proof, and format proposal sections; develop attachments including project descriptions, capability statements, and supporting documentation
Gather required project data, budgets, metrics, forms, and supporting materials; assist with checklists and pre-submission compliance reviews
Maintain organized grant status trackers, calendars, and digital files; assist with meeting coordination and deadline management

Required

Currently enrolled in University of Georgia with major in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, English/Communications, Business, Public Health, Environmental Sciences, or related fields
Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize information are essential for success in this role

Preferred

Strong writing and research experience preferred
Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher
