Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Design and implement welding processes that meet quality and cost objectives
Team with Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly & Test and other various departments to optimize product designs & fixturing for weldability
Collaborate with outside vendors/machine shop to identify source of supply for the manufacturing of the design
Work with the proposal group to provide process, time estimates & fixturing needs
Develop and maintain accurate process documentation and CNC programs
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards
Drive process improvements using lean principles and advanced welding technologies
Training & mentoring to technically guide tool designers and manufacturing engineers

Required

Must have experience with electron beam and orbital welding processes
Knowledge of welding processes, tooling design, and quality control methods
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Proficiency in CNC programming and process documentation

Preferred

Associate's degree + 10 years of relevant experience preferred; equivalent industry experience accepted in lieu of degree
Aerospace industry experience preferred
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred
