$136K/yr - $136K/yrThe County of San Diego is seeking a Civil Engineer-Building to join their Planning & Development Services team. This role involves reviewing construction plans for compliance with building codes and providing customer service related to the permitting process.
Responsibilities
Reviewing structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing
Title 24 energy, and standard stormwater designs
Replying to customer emails and phone calls
Interacting with customers at PDS public counters to answer code and permit process questions and rechecking corrected plans and documents undergoing plan check
Qualification
Required
Registration by the State of California as a Professional Engineer
Demonstrate a high degree of motivation and willingness to learn
Demonstrate a strong willingness to continually learn and grow professionally
Maintain a professional perspective and objective demeanor when varied situations occur
Review complex projects involving several functional groups
Communicate effectively in verbal and written form
Good listener
Learn and understand the perspectives of others, and embrace diversity and inclusiveness
Demonstrate professional level experience in support of civil engineering
Demonstrate good interpersonal and teamwork skills, including building relationships and collaborating with others in order to keep projects moving in a positive direction
