The Vice President, Business Technology Liaison at BNY plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business operations and engineering solutions within the organization
This position is part of the General Management/Business Operations function, specifically within the Business Technology Liaison family
The role is designed to support the strategic pillars of BNY by fostering innovation, driving efficiency, and enhancing client experiences through effective technological integration
With a focus on BNY's principles, the Vice President ensures that engineering solutions align with business objectives, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration between departments
Act as a key liaison between business units and engineering teams, ensuring alignment of technology solutions with business objectives by demonstrating expertise in both domains
Drive the identification and implementation of innovative technology solutions to enhance business processes and improve operational efficiency
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable engineering projects, ensuring clarity and feasibility
Provide strategic insights and recommendations on technology trends to guide business and operational decision-making
Ensure the successful execution of engineering projects by managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations effectively
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the Business Technology Liaison family to support BNY's commitment to excellence
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
Typically 5-10 years of experience
Knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY corporate policies involving risk and control to support improved business processes through technology
Attention to detail
Problem solving, critical thinking, time management and communication
Ability to self-manage, prioritize, and execute workload
Prior experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities to align technology with business needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across diverse teams
Proven project management skills with the ability to lead complex engineering initiatives from concept to completion
Preferred
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's in Engineering)
Technical experience
Prior experience working in an agile ecosystem, highly preferred
