Senior Closing Associate, Credit & Lending (Closing Coordination)

The role of Sr. Closing Associate involves executing flawless commercial real estate closings, managing the entire closing process, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely funding and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities
Coordinate End-to-End Closings: Take ownership once transactions are cleared-to-close and manage the entire closing process
Oversee title commitments, closing conditions, settlement statements, wire instructions, insurance requirements, and closing document execution
Manage Title Company Relationships: Serve as primary point of contact with national and regional title companies. Order title commitments, pro forma policies, CPL’s and endorsements. Identify and resolve title exceptions, survey issues, and escrow requirements
Review Settlement Statements: Ensure accuracy of closing statements, coordinate with Accounting on invoice submission, and verify all prorations and credits are correctly calculated
Coordinate Closing Documents: Ensure all parties have required documents—insurance certificates, Tenant estoppels and SNDA agreements, entity formation documents, and lender closing packages
Manage Funding: Ensure deal funding occurs on schedule. Coordinate wire timing with lenders, investors, and title companies. Confirm recording and disbursement
Execute Internal Handoffs: Communicate closing information to internal stakeholders (Accounting, Asset Management, Investor Relations). Ensure clean transition to post-close operations
Track Metrics & Reporting: Maintain pipeline data in Monday.com, track on-time closing rates, and provide regular updates to leadership
Qualification
Required
5–8 years of direct commercial real estate closing experience, with strong preference for single-tenant triple-NNN assets (retail, medical, industrial, and gas stations)
Title company experience— you understand title commitments, escrow processes, and settlement statement preparation. Experience working at or closely with title companies is a plus
Lender closing experience— familiarity with lender closing requirements, loan document packages, and funding coordination
Strong Understanding – entity documentation (article, operating agreement, resolutions, certificates of good standing)
Strong attention to detail— closing errors are expensive. You catch issues before they become problems
Excellent communication skills— able to coordinate multiple parties under deadline pressure while maintaining professionalism
Process-oriented— comfortable managing multiple concurrent closings using Monday.com, HubSpot, and Slack
