Responsibilities

Receive, organize, inventory and prioritize incoming test specimens received from the machine shop

Perform daily hand tools calibration over checks

Inspect, identify, perform and record dimensions of various test specimen geometries and configurations using flat/point micrometers and flat/point calipers

Operate test equipment to perform room and elevated temperature tensile/compression, charpy impact, stress rupture testing and rotating beam fatigue testing

Handle precision instrumentation and equipment with care as directed

Communicate data, workflow, equipment and all other lab related information

Accurately complete datasheets using manual and exported data

Qualification

Equipment calibrationTesting proceduresMeasurement equipmentData recordingCommunication skills

Required

1-2 years lab experience

Familiar with measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

Associate's, Bachelors, or equivalent experience
