Assistant Professor of Mathematical Sciences
McNeese State University invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Mathematical Sciences. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics courses, engaging in scholarly activities, and providing academic guidance to students.

Responsibilities
Preparing and teaching mathematics courses, including general education courses
Engaging in scholarly activity and being of service to the department, university, and broader community
Participate in departmental meetings, serve on committees (e.g., curriculum committee, hiring committee), and contribute to program development and evaluation
Provide academic and career guidance to students
Engage in outreach activities to promote mathematics as an educational pathway
Effectively balance responsibilities to fulfill teaching, research, and service obligations
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and foster a positive academic environment
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences, or a closely related field
Excellent teaching, strong communications skills, and demonstrated research ability
Preferred
Experience teaching at the university level
Experience with multiple modes of instructional delivery (face-to-face, hybrid, online)
Participation in professional organizations (e.g., AMS, MAA, SIAM) and a willingness to contribute to the broader mathematical community
