Chief Executive Officer
Creator Accountability Network (CAN) is a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to making communities safer and more ethically accountable. They are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to manage their growth, focusing on strategic planning, fundraising, and leadership development while collaborating with the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities
Providing leadership in the collaborative development of a growth strategy. Such a growth strategy will include: development, financial, staffing, and operations planning, and any other areas needed to support our highly successful and unique programs
Establishing organizational priorities and measurable goals, while supporting and directing the ED to strengthen decision-making frameworks and performance management systems
Mentoring and providing oversight for the current ED, including providing feedback and insight into nonprofit management competencies while enabling them to leverage their exceptional external engagement skills
Building, with the support of the ED, the existing internal structure to strengthen and codify financial operations, budgeting frameworks and operational management
Establishing fundraising programs focused on achieving the aims of the mission statement. Strategies for this may include creator outreach, individual donations, community organizations, and government partnerships
Serving as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, providing quantifiable updates during board meetings on the activities of organization, including advice for consideration, and translating board intentions and priorities into impactful management
Developing and strengthening, in partnership with the Executive Director, the organization’s strategic alliances and relationships with key donors and partners
Performing specific operational and programmatic tasks directly as needed in a growing, early-stage organization
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of experience in any nonprofit, leadership, management, or operations roles
Strong background in mentoring or developing senior leaders, whether in professional, volunteer, or community contexts
Experience in fundraising, grant writing, donor relations, or other nonprofit development work
Growth oriented leader with experience in building systems from the ground up
Demonstrated interest in community safety work, whether through employment or dedicated volunteer work (e.g., victim advocacy, counseling, mediation, investigation, restorative justice, or related fields)
A collaborative leadership style that values partnership, relationship building and shared decision making, as indicated through strong professional or volunteer management experience
Proven track record of strategic thinking and strong leadership, including projects or leadership roles undertaken outside of formal employment
Strong commitment to accountability, ethics, and community-driven safety models
Comfortable working in a remote, lean organizational environment with significant autonomy
