HII's Mission Technologies division is seeking Mechanical Engineers to perform computer-aided mechanical engineering design, including component design and packaging engineering. The role involves translating design requirements into engineered components, managing risks, and maintaining internal and external relationships while effectively communicating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Translate design requirements into highly engineered components

Track and drive tasks through to completion

Communicate status with clarity and brevity to internal and external customers

Identify, articulate, and manage risks

Manage internal and external relationships

Create and maintain various reports

Required

1-3 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field

Strong oral and written communication skills

Self-motivated with strong work ethic

Ability to think critically and problem solve in a fast-paced environment

Ability to translate requirements into tasks and completed designs

Ability to perform fundamental analysis working from first principals

Experience with SolidWorks CAD tools. 2D and 3D

Experience in creating DFMEA

Experience managing tasks within budgets

Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

Experience with fabrication and methods of manufacture

Clearance: Active secret security clearance

Preferred

Experience with FEA and CFD analysis

Experience with MATLAB and/or ANSYS

Experience executing PM activities that may include cost, schedule, engagement, etc

Experience engineering hardware for Department of Defense

Ability to communicate effectively with government stakeholders, company leadership, and technical subject matter experts in a wide range of disciplines

Experience with SolidWorks Product Data Management

Master's degree in mechanical engineering
