Responsibilities
Using a motorized cylindrical brush, operator smooths edges of part according to customer specifications
Insert radius in certain parts using a grinding wheel
Ensure parts are within the defined specifications to meet quality standards
Detailed quality assurance review of work on a continuous basis taking full ownership of the part operation assigned. Appropriately label parts which do not meet quality standards
Complete a daily timecard to accurately reflect the amount of time per job activity
Reviews operational processes and makes suggestions for process improvements in production, quality and company performance
Proactively complete daily asset care requirements and subsequently escalate as needed maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor and maintenance team using established maintenance ticket process
Keep work area clean, organized, and free from clutter. The work area and machine must be wiped down each shift

Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to read job specifications and follow directions as needed
Diligent in taking the time to document non-conforming parts 100% of the time
Must be able to follow direction and maintain documentation as needed for each job
Physical ability to do work requiring frequent lifting, twisting, standing, stooping, and bending
Preferred
Experience using measuring equipment such as caliper, micrometer, gages is preferred
Prior experience working in aerospace or other manufacturing industry, preferred
