Responsibilities

Provides financial and operational data analysis to generate insights that advance Departmental, Entity, and System initiatives and improve performance. Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and balanced scorecards using visual analytics that provide enhanced insight and improve organizational decision-making

Collaborates across revenue cycle operations and Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst to develop impactful analysis and messaging to assigned customers. Develops personal action plans from meetings and follow through on assigned tasks. Contributes knowledge to team in a way that promotes supportive growth. Attends and participates in team meetings and team building events, is aware and participates in team and organizational activities

Identifies revenue cycle trends in the data that drive process improvements for revenue cycle, assigned departments, and the system. Completes enhancements that positively impact the health system’s bottom line through increased collections and reductions in the cost to collect

Understands business impact to simple problems and discusses recommendations in a collaborative environment

Develops and delivers impactful presentations for senior executives, departmental and/or hospital leaders, and/or at meetings with other key stakeholders. Follows best practices for presenting and utilizes correct template and formatting to provide consistent and easy to understand data analysis

Serves as the revenue cycle specialist and liaison for assigned customers, developing solutions to operational and billing functions through collaboration with Revenue Cycle departments

Leads training and education of end users and team members on self-service reporting tools, including preparation of instructional materials such as PowerPoint presentations and procedural documents, in collaboration with Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst. Identifies and keeps abreast of emerging revenue cycle trends, recommending and designing analyses to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge. Follows up and verifies quality of work deliverables; following prescribed models, responsible for quality review of assigned projects and tasks. Performs pre-defined data validation audits and escalates findings when outside of standards

Required

Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience

General understanding of Revenue Cycle and associated data analysis

Capable of attending meetings and capturing general customer requirements

Familiar with storytelling concepts and tools

Requires high attention to detail

Complex data analysis abilities, strong computer skills, and independent judgement in decision-making

Must use Microsoft Office and demonstrate strong Excel skills

Experience with data query and visualization tools like SQL, Power BI or Tableau

Experience with Epic Cogito tools - Workbench and Slicer Dicer

Experience with Epic Caboodle and Clarity

Associates or Bachelors degree in a relevant field
