Dewberry is a leading professional services firm seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in their Baltimore, MD office. The intern will work on various projects in the commercial and energy sectors, focusing on site/civil design and collaborating with a team of professionals.

Responsibilities

Site/civil engineering including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, utility (water, sewer, gas, electirical, storm drain etc.) design, traffic control and erosion and sediment control design

Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets

Field work including site visits for survey and natural resource reconnaissance, construction observation, photo documentation, parking counts, etc

Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans

May also conduct code research, write specifications, and assist in permitting activities

Required

Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering required with an expected graduation between May 2027 - December 2027

Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft office is required

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in a team environment

Previous internship experience preferred

Local candidates preferred, no housing stipend will be provided
