Responsibilities

Developing and/or integrating models of flight environment, sensors, mass properties and aerodynamics
Integrating algorithms for flight controls, guidance and navigation, as well as launch sequence and target tracking
Pre-flight performance prediction simulation runs
Post-flight reconstruction including model verification and validation with collected flight test data
Identifying and correcting any unexplained artifacts in the simulation results or flight test data

Required

Experience in developing algorithmic solutions to complex technical problems
Emerging experience in Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC)
Ability to develop and/or integrate models of flight environment, sensors, mass properties and aerodynamics
Experience in integrating algorithms for flight controls, guidance and navigation, as well as launch sequence and target tracking
Understanding of basic flight mechanics and equations of motion governing a six degree of freedom (6DOF) flight simulation
Experience with integrated flight simulation (IFS) including truth models and representative flight software
Ability to conduct statistical error sources used for Monte-Carlo simulation runs
Experience in pre-flight performance prediction simulation runs
Experience in post-flight reconstruction including model verification and validation with collected flight test data
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and correct unexplained artifacts in simulation results or flight test data
Strong analytical and math skills specifically in the areas of controls, state dynamic equations, linear algebra and statistics

Preferred

Strong experience in root cause analysis
Experienced with Missile 6DOF simulation design and analysis
