Manufacturing Engineer
Wolfspeed is a company focused on innovation and diversity in the workplace. They are seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to oversee test wafer management and drive operational efficiency initiatives in their silicon carbide manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
Lead operational efficiency projects focused on cost reduction, cycle time improvement, and resource optimization
Drive automation initiatives in collaboration with MES and Automation teams to streamline workflows, data management, and create sustainable business processes
Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and drive process improvements
Manage and optimize test wafer programs, including inventory control, contamination monitoring strategies, and lifecycle tracking and optimization
Partner with process, equipment, and automation teams to develop and implement processes that support optimization of test wafer and equipment resources
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or STEM-related field (Materials Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline)
5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing operations or related support roles
Demonstrated experience with automated Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and factory automation tools
Ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams to make data based decisions and deliver results
Preferred
Experience with data analysis tools and/or data engineering. SQL, Snowflake, Python, PowerBI, or similar tools is highly preferred
Background in semiconductor process engineering or strategic operations roles
Familiarity or certifications in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or other structured continual improvement methodologies
