Intern - Undergraduate (technical)

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. They are seeking a Systems Engineer Intern to assist in the day-to-day activities of the System Engineering team, supporting requirement development and verification of space systems products.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, participates in the day-to-day activities of the System Engineering team assisting in the completion of routine and non-routine tasks
Supports requirement development and verification of space systems products
Provide documentation and make technical presentations as required
Support program design and readiness reviews
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices

Required

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in a technical field
Ability to work under general supervision
Experience or coursework related to systems engineering
Strong communication skills for documentation and technical presentations

Commitment to observing all laws, regulations, and applicable obligations
Willingness to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
