Responsibilities

Understand, develop ability to maintain, existing features in the power delivery, thermal management, and reliability domains for CPU Cores
Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers; power integrity, thermal management & reliability engineers to maintain existing features and develop new features in AMD CPU Cores

Qualification

Required

Passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification
Excellent communication skills
Experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/time zones
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and ready to take on problems
Understand and develop ability to maintain existing features in the power delivery, thermal management, and reliability domains for CPU Cores
Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers; power integrity, thermal management & reliability engineers to maintain existing features and develop new features in AMD CPU Cores
Ph.D. or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering

Preferred

Experience in IP level silicon design methodologies
Strong EE fundamentals
Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, C, and C++
Experience with circuit and finite element simulators
Automating workflows in a distributed compute environment
Experience in the C++ language, preferably on Linux with exposure to Windows platform
Scripting language experience: Perl, Ruby, Makefile, shell preferred
Exposure to leadership or mentorship is an asset
