Service Center Technician (f/m/x)
OMICRON electronics is a company focused on the development of high-precision test equipment. They are seeking a Service Center Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs, and calibrations on their equipment while collaborating with engineering teams and maintaining compliance records.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, repairs, calibrations, and upgrades on Omicron test equipment according to internal procedures and quality standards
Provide root cause analysis and detailed documentation of service work using the company’s service management tools
Collaborate with the engineering and product support teams for complex issues and product improvements
Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and calibrations for ISO and internal compliance
Participate in continuous training programs to stay current with product developments and testing technologies
Ensure the service area is organized, clean, and meets ESD safety requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Perform diagnostics, repairs, calibrations, and upgrades on Omicron test equipment according to internal procedures and quality standards
Provide root cause analysis and detailed documentation of service work using the company's service management tools
Collaborate with the engineering and product support teams for complex issues and product improvements
Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and calibrations for ISO and internal compliance
Participate in continuous training programs to stay current with product developments and testing technologies
Ensure the service area is organized, clean, and meets ESD safety requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Strong understanding of analog/digital electronics, test methodologies, and measurement principles
Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Willingness and ability to travel internationally for training and occasional support activities
Minimum of 2 years of experience in service, repair, or calibration of electronic or electrical equipment (preferably in a high-precision or test equipment environment)
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field
Preferred
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems is a plus
