Electronics Technician Security Senior
Wisconsin Department of Corrections is responsible for maintaining and repairing electronic systems and equipment for the institution. The role involves planning and installing new electronic security systems and responding to emergency repairs during off hours.

Responsibilities
Maintains, repairs, and calibrates electronic systems and equipment for the institution
Plan and install new electronic security systems including modification and expansion of present systems
Maintain, repair, and calibrate the most advanced and complex electronic systems and equipment
Respond to calls for emergency repairs during off hours
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of principles, practices, methods, material and techniques of the most advanced and complex electronic security hardware installation and repair
Knowledge of computer and security related electronic systems
Knowledge of function and use of test equipment such as test sources, test meters and oscilloscopes
Knowledge of institution rules, policies, procedures and philosophy
Ability to install, troubleshoot and repair systems containing tubes, semi-conductors and integrated circuits and a wide variety of specialized electronic equipment and computers
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and schematics of complete systems
Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, engineers and staff
A valid drivers license is required for select positions
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection
Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting
