Responsibilities
Lead, innovate, influence, design, develop, and operate advanced features across cloud-native scale highly available distributed systems, database core engine, operating systems, and storage subsystems
Defining detailed design specifications for significant new projects
Specify, design and develop software according to those specifications
Perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software
Qualification
Required
Experienced professionals with a PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering
At least 10+ years of professional experience
Strong deep technical knowledge on database core internals, proficiency in systems design and development
Proficiency in developing large production quality code in C++/C in a multi-threaded environment, advanced data structures and algorithms
Demonstrated excellence in building and operating large scale and/or cloud native products and software services
Excellent interpersonal and communication including writing & presentation skills
Ability to effectively collaborate across functional boundaries in a fast-paced agile development environment
Preferred
Previous experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora, Horizon DB, Alloy DB etc. is a BIG plus

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
