Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the financial aspects of grants, ensuring compliance with funding agency regulations and reporting requirements
Monitor grant expenditures, prepare financial reports, maintain accurate records for each grant
Work closely with program managers and other stakeholders to ensure proper stewardship of grant funds
Reconcile grant accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies
Assist with grant audits by providing necessary financial documentation and information
Support the tax compliance team with compilation and preparation of supporting documentation to prepare routine tax filings
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting or related business
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related business degree with a minimum of 15 credit hours of Accounting courses
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Advanced spreadsheet software knowledge and experience
Ability to work independently, meet monthly deadlines, and exercise sound judgement
Able to maintain strict confidentiality
Strong attention to detail
Has strong initiative to resolve issues and is a proactive team player
Ability to uphold the core values of the organization
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and work effectively both independently and in a team setting
Preferred
Previous accounting experience in non-profit or grant-funded setting
