Responsibilities
Complete history and physical exams on assigned admissions including medication reconciliation, complete all orders including appropriate labs and diagnostic testing, medications, therapy evaluations, medications etc
Consult appropriate services needed during the hospital stay for any acute issues identified on admission
Discuss and collaborate with attending MD on plan of care
Admit to the hospitalist/geriatrician, Highland family medicine, Culver medical group including the complex care center, Wilmot cancer center, and chronic vent services
Qualification
Required
Fulfilled the requirements to be a licensed PA or NP in NYS
Medical management of house-covered patients or Emergency Room/ICU training
NYS License PA candidates
Current, valid license to practice as an NP in NYS for NP candidates
Must be BLS certified
Maintains adequate CME credits to ensure ongoing competency for performing job duties
Maintains current NYS license and NCCPA Certification
