Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is offering an internship opportunity for a Ride and Handling Engineering Intern. The intern will perform vehicle dynamics evaluations, develop test plans, and support vehicle dynamics development activities at the Hyundai California Proving Ground.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle dynamics subjective evaluations, tire testing, spring & bar selection, damper tuning, MDPS calibration, and countermeasure development of prototype vehicles at various stages of development
Develop and execute test plans, coordinate test vehicles, and manage supplier activities
Support vehicle dynamics development activities at the Hyundai California Proving Ground
Create and present clear & concise status and technical reports
Execute additional special projects as assigned

Qualification

Mechanical engineeringAutomotive backgroundVehicle dynamicsTest plan developmentTechnical reporting

Required

Mechanical engineering student with at least 2 years of automotive/dynamics-related coursework
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
Preferably, junior or senior standing
Candidates applying for positions with Hyundai KIA must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire
