Workforce Compliance Specialist

Zachry Group is America's pacesetter in turnkey construction and engineering services. The Workforce Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring adherence to workforce compliance standards, overseeing drug and alcohol testing, background checks, and monitoring motor vehicle records.

Responsibilities

Administer and audit the company’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Program, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing
Ensure compliance with DOT and non-DOT regulations
Coordinate with third-party administrators (TPAs) and collection sites
Maintain accurate records and generate compliance reports
Support the end-to-end background check process for new hires and internal transfers
Review and assess background check results in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
Conduct regular MVR reviews for employees in driving-related roles
Ensure compliance with company driving standards and applicable regulations
Track license expirations, violations, and required corrective actions
Assist in internal audits and investigations related to workforce compliance
Maintain documentation and records in accordance with retention policies
Support policy development and training initiatives
Stay current with changes in employment laws and compliance regulations
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or GED
3-4 years' experience in compliance and drug and alcohol program compliance
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems

Preferred

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
Experience with compliance audits and reporting
Familiarity with third-party background check and drug testing vendors
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
