$22.16/hr - $36.90/hrProgress Rail is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Control System Engineering Intern to join their team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the development and validation of control systems while contributing to real-world projects.

Responsibilities
Assist in the analysis and documentation of control system requirements ensuring clarity and traceability
Contribute to analysis of structured and unstructured field performance and failure data using Python or other analytic tools
Support the development of validation plans and test procedures
Participate in execution of design validation plans and associated engineering reports
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Understanding of fundamental electrical engineering and programming concepts
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Interest in embedded systems and real-time software is desirable
Interest in engine/locomotive development
Preferred
Experience/ familiarity with embedded software development
Experience/ familiarity with engine and emissions control strategies
Experience/ familiarity with exhaust aftertreatment technologies
Experience utilizing development and data analysis tools (e.g. CANape, Python, MATLAB, Simulink)
Experience with model-based software development
Desire to work in a fast paced, team environment
