Responsibilities

Contract drafting, lead negotiation and advisory responsibilities for Meta’s Technology Transaction and Global Procurement Legal organization, including procurement of products and services from data center equipment, software and services vendors (including cloud service providers), manufacturing vendors and warehousing and logistics partners, in addition to other complex partnerships and commercial arrangements

Influence and build relationships with clients and cross-functional peers across Meta to drive solutions to complex legal and commercial challenges

Drive continuous improvements to existing legal templates, legal and business processes, and legal support of the business

Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze and communicate legal risks

Provide legal and strategic business advice to help develop a comprehensive, long-term approach to our relationships with key vendors and partners

Required

J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent)

Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status (if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location)

8+ years of legal experience, including relevant technology transactions experience (either in-house and/or at a global law firm)

Experience leading negotiations with strategic partners and coordinating legal counsel across complex and multifaceted legal issues such as data protection and privacy, competition and other global legal frameworks

Experience drafting, negotiating and managing technology deals (e.g., cloud services, technology licensing, master purchase agreements, master service agreements, statements of work, etc.)

Experience working on and managing numerous projects and deals simultaneously under competing deadlines while working effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally, exercising sound business judgment and being solution-oriented

Demonstrate business judgment and client counseling skills
