Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a Total Vehicle Evaluation Engineering Intern for Summer 2026. The intern will assist in vehicle development activities, evaluate vehicle performance, and support additional development tasks while learning from experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

Assist Total Vehicle Evaluation (TVE) members on vehicle development activities

Learn from TVE Comprehensive Engineers and other HATCI members on overall vehicle development activities

Evaluate the total performance (e.g., powertrain, ride and handling, NVH, brakes, ADAS, human factors, etc.) of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis prototype, pilot, and production vehicles

Perform subjective vehicle evaluations, identify potential customer complaint issues, investigate root causes, and recommend potential countermeasures

Develop and execute joint evaluation test plans for vehicle development activities, such as benchmarking and prototype evaluations

Summarize media reviews and customer feedback concerning Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles

Support additional development activities at HATCI's automotive proving ground in California City, CA

Create and present clear and concise technical reports

Execute additional special projects as assigned
