Bobyard is a startup focused on automating takeoffs for contractors by solving complex computer vision problems. They are seeking a Computer Vision Research Engineer Intern who will develop advanced CV algorithms and models, working autonomously to build innovative products.

Responsibilities

Build or improve computer vision / machine learning models for interpreting drawings / plans

Work with real-world data: scanned plans, landscape layout plans

Participate in feature design & testing — for example: 'Pattern Search' (area measurements from hatch patterns), or model accuracy improvements

Help develop internal tooling or dashboards for model evaluation (error analysis, performance metrics, prototyping)

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and product teams on tasks like data preprocessing, annotation pipelines, validation / QA

Present your results and insights to the team; contribute to product improvements
