Responsibilities

Management and development of the team
Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions
Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
Coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development
Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program

Required

Strong software architecture and design experience
C/C++/Ada experience
Linux/VxWorks experience
DevSecOps experience (CI/CD, Git/Gitlab)
Agile development (Scrum/Kanban)
Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
Basis of Estimate (BOE) development
Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
In addition to meeting security clearance requirements, candidate may need to be approved to work Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start of employment
Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience including Agile EVMS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Prior Engineering Management
Proposal Development
Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking
Strong interpersonal skills
